Adults in Scouting

Every Adventure Needs a Team

Great Scouting experiences don't happen by accident. Behind every camp, activity night, hike, fundraiser and community project is a team of dedicated adults making it all possible.

At Cardiff Scout Group, there are three ways to get involved, each offering a different level of commitment:

🧭 Scout Leaders

Work directly with young people, delivering fun, adventurous programs that help them grow in confidence, leadership and life skills.

🤝 Adult Supporters

Help out when you can at events, camps, fundraising activities, working bees, transport, maintenance and other important tasks that keep the Group moving.

🏕️ Committee Members

Support the Group behind the scenes through fundraising, grants, finances, equipment management, administration and strategic planning.

Find Your Place

No matter which role you choose, you'll be helping create opportunities that shape young people into capable, confident and community-minded adults.

The best part? Becoming an adult volunteer in Scouting is free. Whether you're a Leader, Adult Supporter, or Committee Member, you can join a welcoming community, make a real difference, develop new skills, and be part of something bigger without any membership cost.

You don't need previous Scouting experience, just a willingness to contribute and make a difference.
