Venturers - Look Wide

Venturer Scouts is the fourth section of Scouting and is for young people aged 15 to 18 years. Venturers are encouraged to broaden their horizons, embrace new challenges, and explore opportunities beyond their everyday experiences.

Venturers offers a unique program that is youth-led and adult-supported, empowering young people to take ownership of their Scouting journey. Members work together to plan, organise, and lead activities that reflect their interests and ambitions, while Leaders provide guidance, mentorship, and support along the way. This means every Venturer has the opportunity to build the experience they want to achieve, whether that's outdoor adventure, leadership development, community service, personal growth, or pursuing their Peak Award.

The Venturer program can include a wide range of activities such as camping, hiking, canoeing, abseiling, cycling, interstate and international opportunities, major Scout events, and leadership courses. Through these experiences, Venturers develop valuable life skills, independence, resilience, and friendships that often last a lifetime.

At Cardiff Scout Group, Venturer Scouts meet alongside our Scout Section, creating opportunities for mentoring, collaboration, and shared experiences across both sections.

Scouts NSW offers a free 4-week trial (registration required through the Become A Member page) and we welcome enquiries from families interested in joining our Venturer section.
